The Arlington ISD Education Foundation is busy planning its 3rd annual AISD Education Celebration! The Foundation is teaming up again with Six Flags Over Texas to host the event on Friday, April 15 from 6-11pm.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Tailgate Arlington: Rockin' The Foundation event. The event raised $148,000 for extraordinary learning opportunities for AISD students and was held at the Arlington Museum of Art on Saturday, September 19. The Young Junior High performed a rousing song medley for the sold-out crowd and musician Brad Thompson was a big hit. This was a record-breaking amount to raise from our annual event, and everyone had a rockin' good time!

AISD Education Foundation and Tailgate Arlington Committee have a great event planned this year. Mark your calendars for Tailgate Arlington Rockin' The Foundation on Saturday, September 19th at the Arlington Museum of Art.
The Tailgate Committee, chaired by community leaders Lisa and Carl Cravens, have unveiled the details for the annual fall fundraising event benefiting educational programs, teachers, and students. "It's time to pull out your favorite rock concert t-shirt, throw on your jeans and help us rock the cause!", announced Lisa Cravens.
The event will coincide with the Arlington Art Museum's exhibit, "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone", featuring iconic images from Baron Wolman who shot many of the rock star legends that graced the cover of the early magazine. "We thought it would be great to play off those wonderful images and create a fun-filled event focused on Rock-n-Roll.", stated Linda Dipert, Foundation board member. "It will be a great contrast to last year's successful 'Wild, Wild West' event, and just as fun."
There will be plenty of great food, entertainment and a silent auction. Individual tickets are $150 and tables of 8 seats are $1,500. Corporate sponsorships start at $1,500. You can purchase tickets or tables online at the foundation website.

About Arlington ISD Education Foundation
The Arlington Independent School District Education Foundation was established to promote and support the continuing improvement of educational programs offered by the AISD by supporting programs for which tax funds are not available; providing support for improved educational opportunities for teachers, students and employees; recognizing excellence through teacher awards; and providing a vehicle for contributing directly to the continuance of educational excellence for our children.
Through its grants, the Foundation currently supports programs throughout the AISD that involve thousands of children in creative learning. These projects impact curriculum improvement, parental support activities, mentoring programs, facilities improvement and unique student activities. In May 2008, the Education Foundation expanded its mission to include a student scholarship program.
