You know the evening will be full of childhood excitement when Daffy Duck helps direct the National Anthem sung by the Arlington High School Choir!
Arlington ISD Education Foundation’s 2018 Education Celebration was a HUGE success! Arlington students, educators, and their families were able to enjoy Six Flags Over Texas at a discounted price and with short lines; some of them for the very first time! This private party has become an event our community looks forward to each year.
2,000 Arlington students performed on the many stages of Six Flags throughout the evening. Fine Arts programs across the district sent their choirs, orchestras, bands, and dance teams to show off their talent before hopping on rollercoasters!
The event raised an incredible $253,992.56 for AISD schools and the University of Texas at Arlington!!! For each $25 ticket sold, $5 went straight back to the school selected. All other proceeds from ticket sales went to the Education Foundation’s grants and programs for teachers and schools throughout the year. Local businesses and corporate sponsors contributed over $158,000.
The foundation wants to thank all the sponsors that make this event possible.
