Arlington ISD Education Foundation distributes more than $40,000 to AISD Classrooms

The Arlington ISD Education Foundation recently distributed $40,655.39 in classroom instruction grants to 12 Arlington ISD campuses and teachers. The Foundation Prize Patrol made its surprise visits to classrooms on Thursday, May 7, 2015.

The awarded grants include a diverse range of classroom initiatives including STEM projects, reading and literacy programs, two elementary choir groups, a college preparation initiative for a junior high, and a social studies project.

Harold Patterson Grant for $2,470 was awarded to Hill Elementary

Among the awarded grants is the Harold Patterson Grant at Hill Elementary for its “Terrariums: Growing Readers & Scientists in the Library”. The Patterson family funded the Hill grant thought the Foundation. 

Since its founding in 1994, AISD Education Foundation has distributed $1.3 million in separate grant awards to teachers for use in their classrooms. Arlington ISD Education Foundation serves the students, teachers, and staff of AISD by fulfilling extraordinary educational needs and initiatives.
