Award Banquet
Our 2008 Award Banquet "Spotlight on Award Winners" takes place on Thursday, March 6 at the Arlington Convention Center. Teachers who are recipients of Foundation grants for the 2007-08 school year will be recognized for their creativity and innovation in the classroom. The Foundation additionally acknowledges individuals and companies who have gone the extra mile to support public education in Arlington by bestowing "Leadership In Education" awards. The winner of Leadership In Education awards will be announced prior to the event.
Invitations will be mailed Early February, 2008. Ticket prices are $50. Corporate tables and sponsorships are available.
Annual Campaign
Our major Education Foundation fund raising effort takes place each Fall with an annual campaign. Donations secured through annual campaign events fund the grants awarded over the next 12 months. Success is not an option, but a requirement, for our teachers and students
You can play a major role - whether your gift is large or small. Every dollar makes an impact. $15 can buy a picture book for the library. $100 buys a set of math flash cards. And if you can make a more generous commitment, you can fund a field trip, buy science equipment or entire sets of research books.
Families and companies have an opportunity to fund and name multi-year grant awards with a 3 or more year commitment of $2,000 or greater.
Planned Giving
Partner with Arlington Education FoundationAn important goal of the Foundation is to partner with the business community to provide educational opportunities for our students.
Endow a Grant
This is a means for ensuring that the grant in your name is self-perpetuating and, through prudent investment, could provide a source of funds for more significant grants or activities.
Establish a business or family grant by making a multi-year commitment to fund a minimum of $2,000 per year.
Make a Contribution to the General Fund
Designate your gift to an annual grant which can be named after your business or family.
Honor someone special with a contribution.
Remember someone special with a gift.
Offer Annual Support
The Foundation graciously accepts cash and pledged donations. Such gifts may memorialize or honor family, friends or district staff members.
Use or Offer Matched Giving at your place of employment
Check with your employer’s Human Resource Department to see if it participates in Matched Giving programs as part of its corporate philanthropy. Contributions may be doubled or event tripled when matched by an employers.
